01 — Welcome
Welcome to Saratoga
Saratoga lies along the western edge of the Santa Clara Valley, where the valley floor rises into the Santa Cruz Mountains. The historic downtown, Saratoga Village, runs along Big Basin Way (Highway 9), and the city is bordered by county parks and open space preserves on its hillside side.
Housing is mostly single-family, with ranch-style homes and newer rebuilds on the flatter streets near Saratoga Avenue and Prospect Road. Larger lots and hillside properties are found in the foothills west of the Village and along roads such as Pierce Road, while condominiums and townhomes are limited and sit mainly near the Village and the city's commercial corridors.
